Delivery and Pick-up Charges
Fees for delivery and pick-up apply on some vehicles. Costs if applicable are shown in the vehicles extra description section.
Reasonable Pick-up and Return times
You should plan to pick-up the hire vehicle after 9am on the start day of hire and expect to return it before 6pm on the return date unless otherwise stated.
Bedding and linen costs
International hirers are not anticipated to bring there own bedding. This can be provided with certain vehicles. Please see the vehicle additional extras description to see if these items are provided. There maybe an applicable fee to be paid to the Motorhome Group Member at time of pick-up.
Handover Times
Please allow extra time for vehicle handovers. This can take 40 minutes. At vehicle pickup you will be shown around the vehicle and the vehicle owner will demonstrate the correct use of the vehicle facilities, such as changing the gas bottles and emptying the toilet waste water cassette. You will sign a form to accept that you have understood how to use the vehicle and that it is in good condition.
When you return the vehicle it will be inspected and signed for to accept that it has been returned in the same good condition. You must allow yourself time for the return handover to be completed and to arrive at airport check-in before your flight home leaves. Due to increased airport security please allow additional extra time for delays.
Bournemouth Airport (BOH) History
Bournemouth Airport opened as RAF Hurn Airport in 1941 and is located 5 miles from Bournemouth town centre. During the Second World War Spitfires, Wellingtons and Typhoons used the base until it was used by American Squadrons in 1942.
In the 1950's and 70's Bournemouth Airport was extensively involved with aircraft production. Production of the Vickers Viscount aircraft as well as BAC 1-11 jet aircraft where conducted at the site.
The airport is also used by three flying schools and as a facility to train airplane cabin crew for private and commercial airlines.
Today the international airport is used by Ryanair and other groups for flights to Europe and America.
